Volunteer

Spay and Save, Inc. is a small organization that is made up entirely of volunteers. We would not be able to rescue the volume of animals that we do without our wonderful network of dedicated volunteers.

Here’s how you can help!

Become a Foster Home

Dogs and cats awaiting adoption often cause us to exceed our budget because we have to board the animals at a kennel or hospital until they are placed. We need volunteers who can foster these animals for a short period of time so that we can evaluate its habits and personality in order to match it with a proper adoptive home.

Help with Transporting

One of our challenges is finding volunteers willing to drive to pick up or deliver an animal, perform home visits, or to run an errand for an animal in need. Please consider helping to transport!

Assist with Adoption Events

Volunteers are needed to help set up, take down, and host adoptions days at the different stores we partner with, or during other community events.

Deliver Pet Items

We often need someone to deliver medicine or administer medication for an elderly or special needs pet owner.

Donate

Donate through PayPal, buy needed supplies from our Amazon or Chewy wish lists, or hold a donation drive to collect needed supplies.

Socialize Our Cats

We need volunteers to socialize cats and kittens so that they can be adopted into forever homes. Spay and Save supplies the necessary cage, supplies, veterinary care, and instruction.

Behind the Scenes

We always need help with clerical work, data storage and updates, newsletter, mailings, and adoption follow-ups.

Habitat Maintenance

Volunteers are responsible for feeding the cats, making sure they have a clean living environment, and giving them lots of T.L.C.!

In addition to volunteering your time, spreading awareness of our animal rescue is equally as important! Please tell others about our organization. Share our website. Let friends and family know about our adoption days. Know someone who loves animals? Encourage them to volunteer with us and get involved. When you hear someone talking about wanting a new furry friend, direct them to us. Remember, every little bit helps, whether it is a monetary donation, volunteering your time or telling others about our organization!
