Welcome to Spay and Save!
Spay and Save, Inc. is a non-profit organization devoted to general animal welfare and education. Our network of volunteers strives to help good people adopt healthy pets. We’re not the largest animal rescue, and we’re okay with that! We form genuine relationships with our adopters and help them find the perfect additions to their families. We stay in touch with our adopters to ensure their pets are happy and healthy, and we help them find whatever assistance and care they might need.
There is no mandatory adoption fee with our organization, but donations in any amount are always welcome and appreciated. All donations made to Spay and Save, Inc. are 100% tax deductible. Every penny of your monetary donation goes directly to veterinary services as well as food and supplies for our foster pets awaiting their forever homes.
Featured Pets
Panda
Originally a native of Strawberry Mansion cat colony in North Philly neighborhood before relocating with her siblings, mom and grandmother to Spay and Save foster care. She is spunky with her people, loves her scratchers, enjoys her crinkle tunnel and sleeping box. She would be a great family member for an individual/family who desire to have. She prefers to be an only cat, but would be willing to accept a cat-mate, if the cat-mate respected Panda’s space and her superior intellect.
Manners: She likes pets and wants to be around her family but also is independent. She is very content inside where there is food, people, warmth, comfort and safety where she is loved. Panda is a confident cat and likes to groom her people in exchange for pets. No dogs experience. She would be the princess of her castle for sure and likes to share your bed as hers.
Special attributes: Super soft fur. Extra toes, making her a polydactyl feline.

Marley
MARLEY and Magic are two EXTREMELY ADORABLE catolescents who are almost too affectionate! They love to play, romp and get into mischief with other kitties and do not mind dogs. They come from the dangerous streets of Chester. Luckily, a kind rescuer took their mon in and gave her a good home. They have been raised indoors and love humans. They eat both wet and dry food. They may be adopted separately, but adopting together will double the fun!

Henry
Henry is a sweet loveable boy. He’s a little shy but will quickly will become your best friend! Henry will follow you everywhere and sit and play wherever you are. Henry loves to bounce around the yard but with a quick whistle will come running to you. Henry is house and crate trained. He sleeps in his crate but would rather sleep close to his owner. Henry and his brothers and sisters came to us from a hoarding situation when their elderly owner passed away. There was a total of 13 chihuahua's living in a basement for a month with caring people leaving food and water for them but receiving little attention and love. Spay and Save received 7 of these sweet pups and their foster moms are helping them overcome their shyness and we are looking for special families who are up to the challenge of leash training and house training these small 4-legged children who will give you all the cuddles and kisses you want.
All of them have received their vaccinations and are in foster homes.
***Spay and Save adopts to families living in Bucks, Montgomery and Chester counties in PA only***

Eli loves running in the yard with the other dogs in his foster home and the little boy has speed. He is still learning to trust his foster mom and continues to need work on his leash walking. He is a happy little boy.

Volunteer with us!
Every penny that we receive through monetary donations goes directly towards veterinary services, food and supplies for our foster pets awaiting their forever home. This model makes our volunteers so important to our efforts in finding homes for our dogs and cats. We are always in need of volunteers such as foster homes and animal transporters. Spotlight on Volunteers
Barb Hardy
Who can count the number of things Barb Hardy does for Spay and Save? From entering applications into the data base, checking applicants for adoption, keeping the data base of donors, sending thank you letters, helping with adoption days (Barb was the first coordinator of the Limerick Petco when it opened) and fostered many cats (and some dogs) in her 87 years! Barb is active in her church (where our flea market is held) and finds the time and energy to make flower arrangements for her church and sing in the choir. Hats off to our Barb!
Cathy Maiale
Cathy’s beginnings with Spay and Save date back to its inception in the late 70s. Both Cathy and her beloved husband, Mark (who left us four years ago), assisted our founder in many ways. They fostered, transported and helped with much-needed home and car repairs. Cathy has continued to be the “right hand” of a grateful president, assisting with cage maintenance, socializing, fostering dogs and grooming dogs. Daughter, Lindsey, also a volunteer since grade school, is now a fourth year veterinary student at Penn. Thanks, Cathy!
